The Head Bishop of the ELCPNG, Dr. Jack Urame and General Manager of MAF Technologies, Mr Bryan Mathews, have signed a memorandum between the two organizations on cooperation for the implementation of solar power stations in PNG.
This cooperation brings reliable and clean electrical power supply on village-level to remote rural off-grid areas. This is another stepping stone to improve the medical, health and education situation in rural areas and to raise the quality of life for people by providing access to electricity.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of PNG (ELCPNG) and Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) are highly respected as pioneers in providing development and social service work in the rural reas of PNG, such as health services, transport, trading, education, infrastructure and communications. ELCPNG’s SolSol project and MAF’s solar branch MAFtech will continue this work and bring light and hope to the remote rural communities through solar energy.
Let the Sun shine!
